R&D Lee is back with a new series – In the Ghetto. This is all about giving you tips and tricks for working on your mountainboards using basic tools you have at home. Not everyone has the luxury of a workshop and all the dedicated tools found in factories.
This first installment is all about fitting bearings into hubs. Plastic hubs are easy, you will always be able to press them in with your hands. The aluminium hubs can be much harder though due to the tolerances and the lack of flex. Factories have a tool called a bearing press which is designed to do this. At home you will need to improvise!
